Why Zhangjiajie?

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is unlike anywhere else on Earth. Over 3,000 sandstone pillars rise from the mist, some reaching over 1,000 meters — these are the real mountains that inspired the floating Hallelujah Mountains in James Cameron's Avatar.

Located in northwestern Hunan Province, this UNESCO World Heritage site spans 4,810 hectares of pristine subtropical forest, rare wildlife, and geological formations that took over 380 million years to sculpt.
